Official Competition Rules
By entering, you agree to these official competition rules and the Photo Consent & Indemnity Agreement.
1. COMPETITION ORGANISER
1.1 The Little Rascals Star Competition (“the Competition”) is organised and administered by Little Rascals Daycare & Preschool (“Little Rascals” or “the School”).
1.2 Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Official Competition Rules, the Competition Photo Consent & Indemnity Agreement, and any reasonable decisions made by the School in administering the Competition.
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1 The Competition is open exclusively to children currently enrolled at Little Rascals.
2.2 Entries must be submitted by the child’s parent or legal guardian.
2.3 The parent or legal guardian entering the Competition warrants that they have the legal authority to do so on behalf of the child.
2.4 Only one (1) entry per child per term/competition is permitted.
3. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
3.1 The photograph entered must have been originally taken and shared by Little Rascals.
3.2 Eligible photographs must have been distributed by the School during the current school term or the immediately preceding term through: Official Little Rascals WhatsApp Groups; The School’s Facebook Page; The School’s Website; Newsletters; or Other official School communication channels.
3.3 Parents may not submit photographs taken by themselves or obtained from any source other than Little Rascals.
3.4 The School reserves the right to reject any entry that does not comply with these requirements.
4. PHOTO STANDARDS
4.1 All submitted photographs must be appropriate and in the best interests of the child.
4.2 The School reserves the right to refuse, remove or replace any photograph that may: Be inappropriate; Compromise the dignity, privacy or safety of any child; Contain offensive content; or Be considered contrary to the values and reputation of the School.
4.3 The School may crop, resize or make minor adjustments to photographs for display and marketing purposes without materially altering the content of the image.
5. COMPETITION CATEGORIES
5.1 The School may run the Competition in the following categories:
* Baby & Toddler Division (4 Months – 3 Years)
* Preschool Division (4 – 6 Years)
5.2 The School reserves the right to combine, divide or amend categories where necessary.
6. VOTING PROCEDURE
6.1 All approved entries will be published in an official Little Rascals Facebook Competition Album.
6.2 Only votes cast directly on the official competition photograph within the official competition albums will be counted.
6.3 Only ❤ Heart Reactions will be counted as valid votes.
6.4 The following reactions will not be counted: Like; Care; Wow; Laughing; Sad; Angry; Any other Facebook reaction
6.5 Votes on shared copies of photographs, screenshots or reposts will not be counted.
6.6 Voting will open and close on the dates and times announced by the School.
6.7 Votes received before the official opening date or after the official closing date will not be counted.
7. FACEBOOK PAGE SUPPORT BONUS
7.1 Parents are encouraged to share their child’s competition photograph and the official competition album with family and friends to gain additional valid votes and increase awareness of the school.
7.2 To qualify for the Facebook Support Bonus, the parent or legal guardian entering the Competition must: Follow the official Little Rascals Facebook Page and Publicly share either: – The official Competition Album; or – Their child’s official Competition Photograph during the voting period.
7.3 Upon successful verification by the school, the child will receive an additional five (5) Bonus Hearts which will be added to the final vote count.
7.4 Only one (1) Facebook Support Bonus may be awarded per child per competition.
7.5 Bonus Hearts will be added after voting closes and before winners are announced.
7.6 Parents may be required to provide screenshots or other reasonable proof that the sharing requirement has been met.
7.7 Where a parent has a private Facebook profile and the school is unable to verify the share, alternative proof may be requested.
7.8 The School’s decision regarding the awarding of Bonus Hearts shall be final.
8. FAIR VOTING POLICY
8.1 Voting must occur fairly and naturally.
8.2 The use of the following is strictly prohibited: Fake Facebook profiles; Automated voting systems; Purchased reactions; Click farms; Vote-buying services; Bots; or any other method intended to manipulate competition results.
8.3 The School reserves the right to investigate unsusual or suspicious voting activity.
8.4 The School may remove suspicious votes, adjust vote totals or disqualify an entry where there is reasonable evidence of manipulation.
8.5 The School's determination regarding suspicious voting activity shall be final.
9. WINNERS
9.1 Winners will be determined by the highest number of valid Heart Reactions together with any verified Bonus Hearts.
9.2 The School may award:
Daycare Division (4 Months – 3 Years)
* Winner (1st Place)
* Runner-Up (2nd Place)
*Principal's Favourite
Preschool Division (4 – 6 Years)
* Winner (1st Place)
* Runner-Up (2nd Place)
* Principal's Favourite
9.3 Winners will be announced through the School’s official communication platforms.
10. PRIZES
10.1 Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
10.2 The School reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value should circumstances require.
10.3 If a winner fails to claim a prize within a reasonable period, the School reserves the right to award the prize to another participant.
10.4 Prizes may vary from term to term depending on sponsor participation and availability.
10.5 Sponsor prizes remain the property and responsibility of the sponsoring business until awarded. Little Rascals accepts no liability for changes, cancellations or substitutions made by sponsors.
11. PUBLICITY & MARKETING CONSENT
11.1 By entering the Competition, participants consent to the publication and use of: The child’s photograph; The child’s first name; The child’s class; Competition results; Winner announcements; and Promotional materials relating to the Competition.
11.2 Such publication may appear on Facebook, WhatsApp groups, the school website, newsletters, advertising material, printed promotional material and other school communication and marketing platforms.
11.3 No compensation shall be payable for the use of such material.
11.4 Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of the Competition Photo Consent & Indemnity Agreement.
12. CHILD PROTECTION & CONDUCT
12.1 The safety, dignity and wellbeing of children remain the school’s highest priority.
12.2 The School reserves the right to remove inappropriate comments, offensive content, hassing behaviour or any activity considered harmful to a child or the school community.
12.3 Individuals posting inappropriate content may be blocked from the school’s social media platforms.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
13.1 The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook.
13.2 Participants release Facebook from any liability associated with the Competition.
13.3 Little Rascals will not be held liable for technical failures, internet disruptions, activation issues, or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control that may impact the competition.
14. RIGHT TO AMEND, SUSPEND OR CANCEL
14.1 The school reserves the right to amend, suspend, postpone or cancel the Competition should circumstances require.
14.2 Any amendments will be communicated through the school's official communication channels.
15. FINAL DECISION
15.1 The decision of Little Rascals regarding eligibility, voting, verification of Bonus votes, competition rules, interpretation of these rules, prizes, and determination of winners shall be final.
15.2 No correspondence, negotiations or disputes regarding results or decisions will be entered into.
